- Programs or services
- TreesLouisville works to grow and care for Louisville’s urban tree canopy through tree planting, long-term maintenance, environmental education, volunteer engagement, advocacy, and community partnerships.
Programs include large-scale plantings at schools, residences, and businesses in low-canopy neighborhoods; free tree adoptions; watering, pruning, and ongoing tree care; volunteer training through Canopy Corps; youth and community education; urban forestry workforce development; and Treesilience, a program that helps eligible homeowners address high-risk trees and plant replacements.
TreesLouisville also leads and supports community events, including TreeFest and Tree Week (Louisville), and advances policies and planning that promote a healthier, more equitable urban forest. - Target Audience
- TreesLouisville serves residents throughout Louisville and Jefferson County, with a particular focus on neighborhoods with low tree canopy, higher heat exposure, and limited access to the health and environmental benefits trees provide. Our programs engage homeowners, students, schools, volunteers, community organizations, local businesses, and public agencies in planting and caring for Louisville’s urban forest.
