Grants to West Virginia nonprofit organizations, faith-based entities, schools, and government agencies in eligible areas for projects and activities that benefit local communities. Funding is intended to assist organizations that address charitable, religious, scientific, literary, and educational needs. Organizations must operate in West Virginia with preference, though not exclusively, to those in the City of Sistersville and in Tyler County.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The minimum grant request is recommended to be $5,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grant funds are for use by non-profit organizations in West Virginia with preference, though not exclusively, to those organizations from the City of Sistersville, West Virginia, and Tyler County, West Virginia areas that seek program support. Civic and governmental entities may also be considered.

CFOV generally does not make grants to support: Annual appeals or fundraising campaigns, organizations outside of the service area, endowment campaigns, sectarian religious purposes, loans or loan pay-offs, general operating or maintenance grants for established organizations.

No grants or distributions can be made to individuals.
